Custom Graduation Topper Information

Handmade Topper

A handmade topper is a graduation cap design that is fully handcrafted and built with layered materials to create a 3D dimensional look. Each topper is individually assembled using physical embellishments to give it a more detailed and elevated appearance.

Handmade toppers include real decorative elements such as rhinestones, layered cardstock, and raised design features that make the topper stand out.

Printed Topper

A printed topper is a graduation cap design that is digitally designed and professionally printed rather than built with layered handmade materials.

The design is printed as a flat topper but still includes detailed graphics such as your color combination, quote, theme, photos, and digital design elements.

Printed toppers do not include handmade 3D materials such as layered stones, physical rhinestones, or raised embellishments that come with handmade custom toppers.

 

Color Base
If you prefer a specific color base, please include it with your order details. If no color base is provided, the designer will choose a color base that best matches the color combination you selected.

Design Style
Please note that I do not paint or hand-draw custom graduation toppers. All toppers are professionally designed using digital graphics.

Quotes
Quotes are not selected by me. You must provide the quote or wording you would like included on your topper. Please choose a quote that best represents your journey and accomplishment.

Masculine Designs
If you would like your topper to have a masculine design, please let me know at the time of ordering so the design can be styled appropriately.

Custom graduation toppers can be created for any grade level, including:

• Kindergarten

• Elementary School

• Middle School

• High School

• College

• Graduate School

Quote Change Policy
If you decide to change the quote after the design process has started, a $75 quote change fee will apply.

Shipping & Pickup

Tallahassee (Local Pickup)

Local orders will be completed and ready for pickup by the due date you provide.

Pickup location and directions will be provided once your topper is completed.

Shipping

Standard 3–5day shipping is $12.

Orders will be completed and shipped in time to arrive by the due date you provide. Your due date will match the expected delivery date provided by USPS.

All shipped orders include:

• Tracking number sent to the email you provide

• $50 insurance coverage through USPS

2-day USPS shipping is available upon request.

Please do not choose an extremely important date as your due date. Always leave room for possible shipping delays.

Rush Orders

If you would like to place an order while I am already fully booked, a rush fee will be added to your order.

Rush fees start at $30 and will be added to all graduation topper orders that need to be completed while I am booked.

Rush orders are accepted based on availability.

How long can my quote be?

Quotes are limited in length. Longer quotes may reduce or eliminate space for additional design elements or add-ons.

If you have a longer quote or multiple design ideas, please share them when placing your order. This will allow me to determine if everything can fit without the design looking too busy or cluttered.

Keeping quotes short and meaningful allows more room for decorative details and add-ons.

I don't know what I want...Can I pay you now, and tell you what I want later? can you freestyle?  

Yes, I can freestyle the design of your topper. However, I do not choose quotes for graduation toppers. This is the graduate's moment, and I believe the graduate should choose a quote that best represents their journey.

If you are having a hard time choosing a quote, you may consider:

• A line from a favorite song

• Something someone close to you told you that always stuck with you

• A quote from Pinterest

• A Bible verse

• Any words that helped you push through your journey

Please note that I do not accept payment before all design details are discussed. We must be on the same page with the design, quote, and ideas before any form of payment is accepted.

You cannot pay now and send your ideas later. All design details must be finalized first to ensure a smooth design process.

Can I change my idea once I've paid?

It depends. Please contact me as soon as possible to confirm whether or not I have already started your order.

If your order has not been started, changes may still be possible.

If your order has already been started, changes may not be allowed or may require an additional fee, depending on the changes requested.

When do I send my graduation cap?

You do not need to send your graduation cap.

The topper is designed to be attached using double-sided tape, which allows you to easily place it on your cap yourself.

This also means you can place your order before receiving your graduation cap.

How do I apply the Topper?

Your order will include double-sided tape and a clear thumbtack to help you apply your topper.

The double-sided tape should be placed on the four corners of the topper and the graduation cap to secure it in place.

The clear thumbtack should be placed in the center of the topper, allowing your tassel to remain visible and move freely.

Please note: I do not put holes in the middle of the topper.

Will the tape damage the graduation hat?

No, this is an easy peel on and off method.

How big is the topper?

Graduation caps can vary in size depending on the manufacturer, so there is no universal standard size.

The toppers I create are 9.5 x 9.5 inches, which fits most graduation caps.

If you would like your topper made in a specific size, please let me know at the time of ordering. If no size is requested, your topper will automatically be made at 9.5 x 9.5 inches.

 

Will I see the topper when it is complete? Do You send proofs?

For handmade toppers, I will send a picture or video prior to pick-up or shipping for approval.

I generally do not provide sketches or previews showing exactly how the topper will look before it is created. When you provide ideas and inspirational photos, I use them as a guide while designing your topper. As an artist, my creative process works best when I am physically creating the design.

However, a layout preview may be available upon request. Please keep an open mind that a layout is only a guide and not the final product.

For digital/printed toppers, you will be provided with a preview before the design is printed.

Once I send the actual picture or video of your completed topper, any requested changes are negotiable but not guaranteed.
